1000 NSCDC officers deployed to fish out naked dancers in Kwara hotels

Worried by the turn of events with nude dancers in hotels in Kwara State, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command, has deployed over 1,000 personnel to hotels in the state to arrest hoteliers engaging nude dancers.

The NSCDC Commandant, Mr Wasiu Adeyinka-Ayinla, disclosed this in an interview with journalists in llorin yesterday.

Adeyinka-Ayinla said that the personnel intelligence officers were already at their duty posts to find out hotels indulging in such act.

“Our intelligence officers are currently in various hotels day and night to arrest hoteliers who engage the services of strip dancers,” he said.

The commandant also said that the corps was collaborating with other agencies to carry out the operation and warned hoteliers in the state against keeping guests with questionable characters.

He re-affirmed the commitment of the corps to fighting pipeline vandalism and other acts capable of tarnishing the image of the state and that of Nigeria.

The Kwara State House of Assembly had summoned proprietors of hotels in the state in August this year over an allegation they were using nude dancers in their hotels.

The complaint was lodged at the State House of Assembly by some religious leaders.
